Sign up with Crypto.com in under 5 minutes

This first step is to sign up and create a Crypto.com account. This will give you a secure place to easily trade your bitcoin in and out of many cryptocurrencies. I recommend using Crypto.com to trade altcoins as it has a huge number of coins available, low fees and higher volume.

During sign up use your full name as you have to comply with banking regulatory requirements.

Using my invite below and we both get $25 in the Crypto.com native coin CRO!

Secure your account

Log in to Crypto.com by choosing a strong password and keep it safe. Then enable 2-factor authentication (2FA) to increase the security of your account. This is a must and is an addition to your password. Crypto.com uses the google authenticator app for 2FA available on iOS and Android.

Deposit in to your account

At your dashboard (or the first page you see when you log-in), click on the 'Deposit/Withdrawals' button under the 'Funds' tab on the top right-hand corner.

Find Bitcoin (BTC) or the cryptocurrency you are looking to deposit and press the 'deposit' button. t is extremely important to only click the 'deposit' button that is specific to the coin that you are going to deposit as the address for each coin is different. Withdrawals work the same way but in reverse.

An address will be generated in the field under 'BTC Deposit Address' to send your bitcoin to.

After sending Bitcoin to this address it will appear in the funds page after several minutes. Once it is available you are ready to trade.

Tips

Start in small increments (e.g. less than 2%) to familiarize yourself with the tools and volatility.

Always research a coins website and team bio.

Learn how to read the charts, volume and spread.

Define your exit before you enter a trade, that could be 1 minute, 1 day or 1 year.

Define the risk allocation of your portfolio (e.g. 60% BTC, 20% ETH, 15% Top 50, 5% High Risk).

When you are not trading, store your Bitcoin (BTC) off of the exchange in a hardware wallet.
